Six Norfolk State Student-Athletes named to VaSID Academic All-State Team

Six Spartan Student Athletes were named to the VaSID Academic All-State Team on Thursday afternoon.
 
The organization recognized 216 student-athletes from 36 schools with the award this year.
 
Norfolk State’s honorees are listed below:
 
Swaroop Pujari, Jr., Yorktown Heights, N.Y., Business Management, Baseball
Tafari Bishop, Jr., Saint Peter, Barbados, Interdisciplinary Studies, Men’s Track & Field
Boris Lunin, Jr., Chesapeake, Va., Finance, Men’s Tennis
Allysia Farrar, R-Jr., Burlington, N.C., Sociology, Women’s Track & Field
Amber Fuller, Sr, Greensboro, N.C., Social Work, Women’s Tennis
Savannah Drozda, Jr., Buffalo, N.Y., Psychology, Softball
 
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.25 GPA and be a sophomore or higher in standing. Each school in the state of Virginia can nominate up to six student-athletes.
